Kathleen Feely has directed the development of several of Casey’s innovative initiatives including Casebook, a potentially transformative tool that uses Web 2.0 technology to help human services staff make good decisions and better understand the needs of the families they serve in the community. Previously, she designed and managed Casey’s Strategic Consulting Group, the Family to Family initiative, the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative, and Casey’s automated Knowledge Management system, one of the first of its kind in the country. Kathleen has over three decades of experience in reforming public systems that serve kids and families. At the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice, she designed a case management system that won the Ford Foundation/Kennedy School of Government Innovations Award in 1986. Kathleen has held positions at the Center for the Study of Social Policy and the New York City Mayor's Office of Operations. She has worked extensively in developing programs for juvenile and adult offenders in New York and New Jersey. She earned her master's degree in labor education from Rutgers University and a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Wisconsin.
