Jim Winestock Named to Board of Trustees of the Annie E. Casey Foundation

Baltimore, Md. – Jim Winestock, retired senior vice president of operations for UPS, has been named a trustee of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the largest private charitable organization in the country that focuses exclusively on improving the lives of vulnerable children and families. The announcement was made today by Michael L. Eskew, chairman of the board of trustees of the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the retired chairman and chief executive officer of UPS.

Winestock, a Greenville, South Carolina native joined UPS in 1969 as a part-time loader in Florida. Throughout his career, he served the company in various functions including operations, finance/accounting, and industrial engineering. Winestock was a member of the UPS management committee and held several leadership positions within the organization, most notably as a district and regional manager. He also served as the coordinator of UPS’s Corporate Schools, the company’s management training program, and participated in the UPS Community Internship Program at the University of Tennessee- Chattanooga. Winestock is a graduate of the Executive Management Program of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

“Jim Winestock brings with him a rich background in leadership,” said Eskew. “His keen management and decision-making skills are an asset to the board of trustees in its governance of the Casey Foundation’s grant making and direct service activities across the country.”

Winestock is a trustee for the March Foundation and a Board member of the Atlanta 100. He previously served on the Board of Trustees of the National Urban League from 2004 to 2009.
